"Prismatic Centrifuge Series" uses the Sculpture to as a Template to define the Inner Negative Space as Form. Georgesco has always been as Interested in what one cant see as the Sculpture Itself. The Sculptures usually act as Templates of Arcs And Radius which extend into Outer Space as the Axis to these pieces would in a Drawing. In all the Exhibition includes more than 20 pieces. While in Palm Springs stop by and see Georgesco's Sculpture "Male Figure of Balzac" at the corner of San Andreas Rd. and Palm Canyon Drive. MODERN OUTDOOR SCULPTRE by Christopher Georgesco

Evolution of a Outdoor Sculptor

This Blog is designed to give you insight into the creative process of Sculptor Christopher Georgesco's Modern Outdoor Sculpture.
His journey began in Venice California in 1968 where the sculptor maintained a 5,000 sq. ft. studio for 15 years. He later worked in Los Angeles and currently lives and works on the outskirts Palm Springs California.
Georgesco has worked in Wood, Concrete, Painted Steel, and recently has turned to Stainless Steel Plate for its easy maintenance and durability in all environments. Stainless Steel while being quite heavy is easy to maintain and puts the Sculptors Work in line with California's Light Space Movement.
This Blog will start in the Present which is 2011 and will move forward from there. Some Sculpture and Information  from the past may appear if relevant to the Future Post. Hope you enjoy the  Blog and will return.
